About

Sara Stifano is an Assistant Professor in-Residence in the Department of Communication at the University of Connecticut. She earned her doctorate in Communication from UConn in 2016. Her research interests are focused primarily on the effect of emotion in decision-making, particularly in risky situations. Her current research projects focus on the creation and implementation of health messages that utilize emotional education in narrative media, with the goal of improving traditional safe sex messages.
