About

Svetlana Kalnova earned her M.A. and Ph.D. in Communication from the University of Connecticut, and her B.A. in Humanities and Applied Sciences from Moscow State Linguistic University. Her research interests include food marketing to children and young adults, prevention of undergraduate college drinking, use of social media for weight gain prevention among college students, and parental perceptions of their children’s eating behavior. Her teaching focuses on persuasion and health communication.
