Chaeyeon “Celine” Yim is a first-year doctoral student in the Department of Communication at the University of Connecticut, specializing in Marketing, Health, and New Communication Technology. Her research interests primarily focus on the intersection of health misinformation, gender representation, and social justice issues. She is particularly interested in the social implications of data science within these domains to understand how misinformation and misrepresentation—often disproportionately affecting women—are disseminated and amplified through social media and new communication technologies.
